Research
The organisation of chromatin in the cell nucleus
Major areas of interest are:
- Experiments aimed at confirming or disconfirming the existence of a nuclear matrix (1)
- Ion-dependent condensation and decondensation of chromatin (2)
- Investigations of chromatin structure in the nucleus by transmission electron microscopy
followed by image processing, combined with building of physical models from
3D-interpretations of the staining patterns. (For short videos of a number of models, see
