Present Projects: The overall aim is to decipher the roles of glycans in health and disease. We are investigating how glycans impinge the biology of cells during development, inflammation, and cancer growth, and how this can be exploited for early detection and treatment of disease. Hans Wandall heads the GlycoMedicine Group as co-PI on the Copenhagen Center for Glycomics funded from DNRF, headed by Professor Henrik Clausen.
