(in Danish)
(part of the course in Basic human biology and chemical components in the cell)
Course leader: Hanne Cathrine Bisgaard
Participants: 1.sem, students of medicine and dentistry.
The section on medical chemistry comprises topics such as the law of equilibrium, pH, buffer ampholyte systems, bicarbonate buffers, biominerals, thermodynamics, kinetics including enzyme kinetics, organic chemistry, chemical reaction mechanisms - including redox reactions, intermolecular forces, isomers, chemical synthesis, peptides/proteins and nucleic acids.

(in Danish)
Course leader: Anne Nørremølle (2. sem. students of medicine and 3. sem. students of molecular biomedicine)
Course leader: Niels Tommerup /Asli Silahtaroglu (dentistry students)
Through this course the students obtain knowledge of mapping of genes and genetic diseases. After the course they are expected to be able to explain classical patterns of inheritance as well as the implications for disease phenotypes of alterations in genes and chromosomes.

(in Danish)
Course leader: Katerina Tritsaris
Participants: 2.sem, students of medicine, dentistry and molecular biomedicine.
The course comprises topics such as the structure of the cell, genetic information, applied gene technology, the cell core, cell division, cell membrane, cellular signalling, cell micro-environment, 3-dimensional tissue structure, examples of differentiated tissues.

(in Danish)
Course leader: Simon Bekker-Jensen
Participants: 3. sem, students of Medicine and Technology (MedTek).
The course aims to provide basic knowledge of the structural organization and function of the cell, the plasma membrane, genetic information and gene technology, membrane transport, cellular signaling, neural intercellular communication, nerve cell physiology, muscle physiology and histological organization of living tissues with special emphasis on connective tissues including bone, and skeletal muscle.
The course includes compulsory practical demonstrations in biochemistry (1x3t), biophysics (2x4t), and histology (2x2t).

(in Danish)
Course leader: Jørgen Olsen
Participants: 3.sem, students of medicine and dentistry.
The course includes topics such as general embryology, postnatal locomotíve apparatus development, growth and aging, biomechanical characteristics of connective tissues, osteology, myology, arthrology, structure and function of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, structure and function of the sensory organs, macroscopic anatomy of organs in the head and neck, angiology and topographic anatomy.

(in English)
Course leader: Lotte Vogel
Participants: 1. year, Human Biology
To give students a thorough understanding of genetic structure, genetic expression and regulation, and mechanisms fundamental to cell differentiation
Also, please see the detailed course and exam descriptions plus the conditions of registration in the current curriculum.

(in English)
Course leader: Niels Erik Møllegaard
Participants: students of molecular biomedicine at the master level
After the course the student should be able to understand the present opportunities, problems and limitations in gene therapy, to independently formulate minor projects aiming at a specific gene therapeutically effect, and to apply theoretical and technical knowledge in understanding and evaluating new principles in gene therapy.
